In almost 80% of the weddings I have attended till date, I did not even see the faces of the bride and groom… I did not even know their names… Often I have gone to wedding ceremonies and come back, but even the thought of Neither did he come nor did he ever try to see where the stage was set up or where the couple was sitting…
Whether he is sitting or not, or whether the marriage procession has come or not…
In almost every marriage in India we invite 70% unnecessary people…
Unnecessary people are those who have no interest in your marriage..they have only come for the party…
Who know only your name…
Who only know the location of your house.. Who only know your position and prestige.
And those who come just to taste the delicious and diverse dishes at one time…
These are unnecessary people…

People come and see it and think..
“I will also make similar arrangements.
“I would rather do better than this.”
And people do… even if their skin gets sold.
People spend 70% of their life’s earnings in showcasing their glory to unnecessary people.. they even take loans..
And on the other hand, the useless people invited to the wedding, go straight inside the guest house gate, reach for the food, eat the food, grab the envelope and leave.
And the biggest wastage of food is that people come and cram a lot of food into their plates, eat a little and throw away the rest.
But you pay its installments throughout your life…
Shouldn’t we stop this wastage and show off..!
आज तक जितनी शादियों मे मै गया हूँ, उनमे से करीब 80% में दुल्हा-दुल्हन की शक्ल तक नही देखी… उनका नाम तक नही जानता था… अक्सर तो विवाह समारोहों मे जाना और वापस आना भी हो गया पर ख्याल तक नही आया और ना ही कभी देखने की कोशिश भी की, कि स्टेज कहाँ सजा है, युगल कहाँ बैठा है…
बैठा भी है कि नहीं, या बरात आई या नहीं…
भारत में लगभग हर विवाह में हम 70% अनावश्यक लोगों को आमंत्रण देते हैं…
अनावश्यक लोग वो है जिन्हें आपके विवाह मे कोई रुचि नही..वे केवल दावत में आये होते हैं…
जो आपका केवल नाम जानते हैं…
जो केवल आपके घर की लोकेशन जानते हैं.. जो केवल आपकी पद-प्रतिष्ठा जानते हैं…
और जो केवल एक वक्त के स्वादिष्ट और विविधता पूर्ण व्यञ्जनों का स्वाद लेने आते हैं…
ये होते हैं अनावश्यक लोग….
विवाह कोई सत्यनारायण भगवान की कथा नही है कि हर आते जाते राह चलते को रोक रोक कर प्रसाद दिया जाए…
केवल आपके रिश्तेदारों, कुछ बहुत निकटस्थ मित्रों के अलावा आपके विवाह मे किसी को रुचि नही होती..
ये ताम झाम, पंडाल झालर, सैकड़ों पकवान, आर्केस्ट्रा DJ, दहेज का मंहगा सामान एक संक्रामक बीमारी का काम करता है.. कैसे..?
लोग आते हैं इसे देखते हैं और सोचते हैं..
“मै भी ऐसा ही इंतजाम करूँगा,
बल्कि इससे बेहतर करूंगा “..
और लोग करते हैं… चाहे उनकी चमड़ी बिक जाए..
लोग 70% अनावश्यक लोगों को अपने वैभव प्रदर्शन करने में अपने जीवन भर की कमाई लुटा देते हैं.. लोन तक ले लेते हैं..
और उधर विवाह मे आमंत्रित फालतू जनता , गेस्ट हाउस के गेट से अंदर सीधे भोजन तक पहुच कर, भोजन उदरस्थ करके, लिफाफा पकड़ा कर निकल लेती है..
और सबसे ज्यादा खाने की बर्बादी होती है लोग आते हैं और खूब सारा खाना प्लेट में ठूस ठूस कर लेते हैं थोड़ा खाते हैं बाकी फेंक देते हैं ।
पर आप उसकी किश्तें जीवन भर चुकाते हो…
क्या हमें इस अपव्यय और दिखावे को रोकना नहीं चाहिए..!
