South Africa’s capital city Cape Town has been declared the world’s first water-less city after its government showed its inability to supply water beyond April 14, 2023.
There is a ban on bathing there👇
- Preparations are underway to disconnect the connections of 10 lakh people.
- Just as in India one buys petrol by going to a petrol pump, in the same way there will be water tankers at various places in Cape Town where 25 liters of water will be available. Police and army personnel have been deployed to deal with those asking for more water or looting water.
- Ultimately this time of sad journey in the world will come to anyone, so use water sparingly.
- Stop wasting water. We have also seen water being sent to Latur (Maharashtra) by rail.
- Only 2.7% of the world’s water is potable.

As a responsible citizen we will save water by stopping wastage of water. You can do it easily:-
1. Do not wash the car/bike daily.
2. Avoid washing the courtyard/stairs/floor or use minimum water for washing.
3.. Do not keep the tap running continuously.
4. Save water by taking many other good measures.
5. Fix the dripping tap in the house.
6. Add minimum water to the tree pot.
7. Do not sprinkle water on the road
8. Take bath without soap once a week.

- दक्षिण अफ्रीका की राजधानी शहर केपटाउन को दुनिया का पहला जल-विहीन शहर घोषित किया गया है, क्योंकि इसकी सरकार ने 14 अप्रैल, 2023 के बाद पानी की आपूर्ति करने में असमर्थता दिखाई है।
- वहां नहाने पर रोक लगा दी गयी है,
- 10 लाख लोगों के कनेक्शन काटने की तैयारी चल रही है,
- जिस तरह भारत में पेट्रोल पंप जाकर पेट्रोल खरीदा जाता है, वैसे ही वहां केपटाउन में जगह जगह पानी के टैंकर होंगे वहां 25लीटर पानी मिलेगा, ज्यादा पानी मांगने या पानी लूटने वालों के इलाज के लिए पुलिस व सेना के लोग तैनात किए गए हैं,
- अंत में दुनिया की दुखद यात्रा का यह समय किसी के भी पास आएगा, इसलिए पानी का संयम से उपयोग करें।
- पानी बर्बाद करना बंद करो। हमने रेल द्वारा लातूर (महाराष्ट्र) को पानी भेजते हुए भी देखा है।
- विश्व का केवल 2.7% जल ही पीने योग्य है।

- जैसे-जैसे आसपास के सभी बांधों में पानी का स्तर कम हुआ है, भूमिगत जल स्तर गहरा होता गया है।
एक जिम्मेदार नागरिक के रूप में हम पानी की बर्बादी को रोककर पानी की बचत करेंगे। आप इसे आसानी से कर सकते हैं।:-
1. कार/ बाइक को रोज न धोएं।
2. आंगन/सीढ़ी/फर्श को धुलना अवॉयड करें या धोने में पानी कम से कम प्रयोग करें।
3.. नल को लगातार चालू न रखें।.
4. अन्य और भी कई अच्छे उपाय करके पानी बचाएं।
5. घर में टपकते नल को ठीक करें।
6. पेड़ के गमले में कम से कम पानी डालें।
7. रोड पर पानी न छिड़कें
8. सप्ताह में एक दिन बिना साबुन के नहाएं ।
आइए मिलकर इस संकट का सामना करें।
