The Greedy Dog and the Bread…
- Once upon a time, A dog was passing through the backyard of a house.
- He found a piece of Bread. He picked it up and ran to a lonely corner.
- He sat there and began to chew the Bread. He felt tired.
- So, He dropped the Bread and slept there itself.
- After a while he woke up. He felt thirsty.
- He did not want to leave the Bread. So he picked up the Bread in his mouth and ran up to a nearby river.
- In the river, he saw his own reflection.
- The greedy dog thought that there was another dog with a Bread.
- He wanted that too. He began to bark.
- The Bread in his mouth fell down into the river. The dog lost his Bread.
The moral of this story is “Greed leads to grief.”

लालची कुत्ता और रोटी…
- एक बार की बात है, एक कुत्ता एक घर के पिछवाड़े से गुजर रहा था।
- उसे ब्रेड का एक टुकड़ा मिला। उसने उसे उठाया और एक सुनसान कोने में भाग गया।
- वह वहीं बैठ गया और रोटी चबाने लगा। उसे थकान महसूस हुई.
- इसलिए, उसने रोटी गिरा दी और वहीं सो गया।
- थोड़ी देर बाद उसकी नींद खुली. उसे प्यास लगी.
- वह ब्रेड छोड़ना नहीं चाहता था। इसलिए उसने रोटी अपने मुँह में उठाई और पास की नदी की ओर भागा।
- नदी में उसे अपना प्रतिबिम्ब दिखाई दिया।
- लालची कुत्ते ने सोचा कि ब्रेड के साथ कोई दूसरा कुत्ता भी है।
- वह भी यही चाहता था. वह भौंकने लगा.
- उसके मुँह की रोटी नदी में गिर गयी। कुत्ते ने अपनी रोटी खो दी।
इस कहानी का उपदेश है “लालच दुःख की ओर ले जाता है।”
