- Once a wolf stole a lamb from a flock of sheep.

- The lamb said, “I know you are a very good flute player. I am myself very fond of hearing the Music of a flute.
- So please play your flute before killing and eating me.”
- So the wolf took out his flute and played it proudly.
- When he stopped playing, the lamb said, “Beautiful ! Beautiful !
- You can play the flute far better than shepherd.

- I think you can play it better than anyone else.
- Please do play it once again.”
- The wolf was please to hear the words of praise.
- So he played the flute once again.
- This time he played it louder than before.
- The shepherd and the sheepdogs heard the sound of this musical flute.

भेड़िया और बांसुरी…
- एक बार एक भेड़िये ने भेड़ों के झुंड से एक मेमना चुरा लिया।
- जैसे ही वह उसे ले जा रहा था, मेमने ने कहा, “मुझे पता है कि तुम मुझे खा जाओगे। लेकिन क्या तुम मुझे खाने से पहले कृपया मेरी आखिरी इच्छा पूरी करोगे?”
- “आपकी आखिरी इच्छा क्या है?” भेड़िये से पूछा.
- मेमने ने कहा, “मैं जानता हूं कि तुम बहुत अच्छे बांसुरी वादक हो। मैं खुद बांसुरी की धुन सुनने का बहुत शौकीन हूं।”
- इसलिए कृपया मुझे मारने और खाने से पहले अपनी बांसुरी बजाओ।”
- तो भेड़िये ने अपनी बांसुरी निकाली और उसे गर्व से बजाने लगा।
- जब उसने खेलना बंद किया तो मेमना बोला, “सुंदर! सुंदर!”
- आप चरवाहे से कहीं बेहतर बांसुरी बजा सकते हैं।
- मुझे लगता है कि आप इसे किसी और से बेहतर खेल सकते हैं।
- कृपया इसे एक बार फिर से बजाएं।”
- भेड़िया प्रशंसा के शब्द सुनकर प्रसन्न हुआ।
- तो उन्होंने एक बार फिर बांसुरी बजाई.
- इस बार उसने इसे पहले से भी ज्यादा जोर से बजाया.
- चरवाहे और चरवाहे कुत्तों ने इस संगीतमय बांसुरी की आवाज़ सुनी।
